Nag Kings won the T-20 Tollywood Trophy.

Nagarjuna’s Nag Kings defeated Venky’s Warriors for the T-20 Tollywood trophy as the Movie Artistes’ Association raised Rs 1.5 crore for themselves at LB Stadium, Hyderabad on Sunday night. The association contributed Rs 18 lakh towards weavers development fund, Rs 5 lakh for the education of children of poor actors and Rs 8 lakh towards city police welfare fund.
After day-long matches between teams headed by Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh, the actors gave away the associations' contributions to the Chief Minister K. Rosaiah who was at the stadium to watch the matches. The artistes competed with each other in introducing themselves to the CM.
Police had to be called in to control the huge crowds that turned up the witness the match. Police swung their lathis on several occasions and horse-mounted personnel were called in to bring the crowd outside the stadium to order. Lakhs of cricket lovers and film buffs watched the match live on Gemini TV, while a packed stadium cheered the artistes.
Earlier, the sudden downpour clamped a sheet of disappointment among the stars and everybody thought the match would cancelled. But, in the evening, the weather cleared, bringing smiles for one and all as the final match ensued amidst hoots and whistles.
The presence of ravishing heroines enlivened the mood in the stadium, with some of them being the brand ambassadors of each team. Nag's younger son Akhil remained a star attraction at the match, he scored the maximum number of fours, showing the prowess as if he were a professional cricketer, which is in reality.

Karunakaran film with hero RAM.

Karunakaran is known for his soft romantic entertainers like Toliprema, Ullasanga Utsahang and Darling. This time, the director has prepared a script that has more mass and action elements. Hence he is considering Edure Ledu as the title for his next film. Hero Ram is likely to play the lead role. Currently negations are going on. On the other hand, Ram's two new movies are in still confusion. His film with director Surender Reddy (Oosaravelli is the title) is yet to go to the sets. The film is facing budget problems. Another film with Krishnavamsi also is still in planning stage. So, Karunakaran film might go to the sets first.

Pawan Kalyan and Anushka in the directoin of Jayant Paranji

Pawan Kalyan’s untitled movie under the direction of Jayant Paranji, will have Anushka pairing with the ‘Power Star’. The movie is going to hit the shooting floors any time now. Pawan Kalyan is doing the remake of the Telugu version of Bollywood blockbuster ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Directed by ‘Shankar Dada MBBS’ director Jayant C Paranji, the movie will be shot extensively in the USA before concluding in Hyderbad. Mani Sharma handles the music for the movie while Binodh Pradhan is in charge of the camera. With the lead pair already a highlight, another major attraction in the movie is Trivikram’s dialogues, so one can expect humour weaved in the movie just like Trivikram’s earlier movies like ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu’ or even his ‘Jalsa’.

Allu Arjun New Movie VEDAM Release Date

Krish’s(Gamyam Director) Vedam – the first multistarrer of Telugu cinema(Comapring with Last 15 years) – has Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka doing three of the five important characters in this movie. Allu Arjun did the role of Cable Raju who is a cable operating boy from lower income class. Manoj Manchu plays the role of Vivek Chakravarthy – a rock star. Anushka plays the role of a prostitute called Saroja. Manoj Bajpai and another old man do the other two important characters in the movie. MM Keeravani composed the music. Re-recording of the movie is just started by Keeravani. Gnana Sekhar handles cinematography. Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda are jointly producing this movie on Arka Mediaworks banner. Vedam is gearing up for 20 May release.

Veeru Potla to direct Nag

Nagarjuna is currently working in a mutli-starrer film titled Payanam under the direction of Radha Mohan. This flick is a quickie produced by Dil Raju and needs only 30 days of his call sheets. So Nagarjuna soon will be beginning another film again for his favorite producer D Shiva Prasad Reddy. Writer turned director Veeru Potla, who tasted success with his film first film, Bindaas, would be directing this. Nagarjuna said to have Okayed the one-line script narrated by Veeru Potla.
The film might go to the sets from this summer end.

Ravi Teja to come as Romantic Rishi

Ravi Teja would be beginning his next film in the direction of Harish Shankar from June. But the movie would be formally launched on March 25th. It is learnt that Romantic Rishi is the title being considered for this film. It is to be produced on Yellow Flowers banner by Ramesh Puppala.
Producer Ramesh Puppala said: “Harish Shankar scripted an excellent story for Ravi Teja. We are not compromising with the production values and it would be a high budget film."
The project has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and music by Thaman S.

Venky in Apta Rakshaka remake

Venkatesh is going to do the Telugu version of Kannada blockbuster Apta Rakshaka. This movie was directed by P Vasu and it went on to become a huge blockbuster. P Vasu will direct the Telugu version as well. Incidentally, it was P Vasu who gave story to Chanti movie which turned out to be a turning point in the career of Venkatesh. Bellamkonda Suresh is going to produce this movie
